The colorful opening ceremony of Gyan Jyoti-2020, an Annual Techno-Cultural Festival of Hindustan College was inaugurated by Mr. Harish Rautela, Brajprant Pracharak, as Chief Guest and Mr. Ajit Anjum, Managing Editor of India TV, News24, as Guest of Honour in APJ Abdul Kalam Auditorium, grand auditorium of the College after the lamp lighting and recitation of Saraswati Vandana on 5th February, 2020. The dignitaries specially invited to this program were honored by offering flowers to them. The Convener of Gyan Jyoti-2020, Dr. Puneet Mangla gave a detailed description of about 40 programs and events of the ceremony. More than 500 students had registered for participation in various competitions and activities from HCST and other institutes of Agra-Mathura region.
All the activities and competitions were judged by invited judges from relative fields. Dr. Rajeev Kumar Upadhyay, Director of the college welcomed all the guests at the inauguration ceremony and presented a detailed account of the achievements of the college. The students Muskan Khetan of the college have brightened the name of HCST by getting AIR – 18 and AIR – 46 by Shivangi Agarwal, a student of Bio-Tech. Engineering who excelled in the GATE examination at the all India level in 2019. He told that 5 students of the college got more than 90 percent and 23 students got more than 80 percent marks in the first semester examination of AKTU, Lucknow. He also praised the contribution of the organizers for the successful organization of this annual event in the previous years.
He told that the college is running or has completed many programs funded by DST, NIMT, CSIR. He told that the college has signed MOUs with well known organizations like, MSME, Jackson State University, Bulgium and TSIR etc. He further told that the college has established Automatic Weather Center, I.V hub, and The Center of Excellence and the Nodal Centre of Universal Human Values and Professional Ethics of AKTU, Lucknow. Executive Director of Sharda Group, Prof. D.G. Roy Chaudhary welcomed all the guests at the event and encouraged the minds to participants in the Gyan Jyoti 2020.
The Executive Vice President of SGI, Prof. V.K. Sharma, said that for the last 20 years, the college has been continuously organizing the annual celebrations of Gyan Jyoti successfully. In this ceremony, the students demonstrate their skills and learn the methods of management. He encouraged the students to participate in maximum numbers of activities and sent best wishes for their success. He called Gyan Jyoti the festival of ‘Light of Knowledge’.
The Special Guest of the program, Mr. Ajit Anjum, in his address shared the journey of his student life and career from the beginning to till now. In his speech he presented the example of Mr. Dhiru Bhai Ambani, Founder of Reliance Industry and Thomas Alva Edison, and Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam who got success in life and profession. He also said that the CEOs of the world’s top 100 companies are mostly engineers. Giving the example of Satya Nadella, he said that he is still serving as Microsoft Chief despite being an electrical engineer. He asked the students to recognize their strengths and remove their weaknesses and develop them as their strengths and work according to their interests. He said that the most important thing for engineers is the idea and secondly the use of that idea. He told the students that 99 percent of people have succeeded with their hard work and only one percent people are God gifted. Presenting a famous quotation, he said, “laharon se darker noka paar nahi hoti, koshish karne valon ki kabhi har nahi hoti’. He inspired to those who try by giving example of the ant that the ant does not feel tired and give up the task. She carry grain, and slips hundred times from the climbing walls”.
The Chief Guest at the program, Mr. Harish Rautela, discussed spirituality. He said that the one which is in the body, is in the Universe, the one who knows this fact is called Vivekananda. He motivated the students to bring the country on the path of progress along with their own progress. He said that by putting spirituality and science together, the world can be taken on the path of development. Referring to a question asked by Vivekananda, he said that someone asked Vivekananda if India would be divided in small groups due to poor conditions and slavery, he gave a simple answer and said that while we worked for the search for God no one can divide us. At the end, he asked to the students to learn many things from this function of knowledge and actualize them in life. Along with this, he encouraged the students to participate enthusiastically in the Gyan Jyoti-2020.
At the end of the ceremony, vote of thanks was presented by the Dean Student Welfare Dr. Sandeep Aggarwal. The program was successfully anchored by Adamsiraj, Shobhita, Devan Bansal and Shruti Aggarwal. On this occasion, all the staff members, and students of all departments were present.
Anand Engineering College Technical Campus, Agra is organizing its 21st Annual Techno-cultural fest Cerebrum 2020 on 6th -7th March 2020. Sh. V K Sharma, Executive Vice President SGI, Dr Shailendra Singh, Director Anand Engineering College Agra and other invited dignitaries formally inaugurated the Cerebrum 2020 by lightening the lamp on 6th March 2020.
Dr Shailendra Singh, Director Anand Engineering College, Agra in his welcome speech highlighted the achievements of students and faculty members during the previous year. Later, he presented the annual progress report of the college and said that Anand Engineering College is committed and determined for the development of students. He also stated that Techno-Cultural fest Cerebrum is a function of the students, by the students and for the students.

Dr. Himanshu Vijay, Convener and Dr. Aatrey Pandey Co-convener of Cerebrum 2020, brief the program of Cerebrum and said that these types of technical and cultural fests will help the students to enrich their knowledge, skills and abilities in organizing events and hence in the overall personality development. They added that this year various technical, cultural and fun events like Paper presentation, poster presentation, code rush, Mind power games, Drama, Chhota Bheem, Bike Racing are the most attractions of the Cerebrum.
An Online orientation program was conducted to welcome newly admitted students in first year at Anand Engineering College Agra, the prestigious college of Sharda Group of Institutions. The program was organized according to the prescribed schedule of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow.
Dr. Shailendra Singh, Director of the college congratulated all the students and their parents for being a part of ANAND Family. In his welcome address he brief the students about the college facilities like hostel, medical, transport, library and laboratories. He also presented the achievements of the students of the college. He threw some light on annual celebrations, Counseling System, Training and Placement, Training and Development and Cultural Activities. The 10th MSME Convention was virtually organized by All India Management Association (AIMA). During this convention, our institute Hindustan Institute of Management and Computer Studies, Farah, Mathura got an opportunity to join as an academic partner. In this virtual convention, innovative solutions related to micro small and medium enterprises were discussed. At the beginning of the convention, Honorable Minister of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India, Shri Nitin Gadkari in his address said that today there is a need of an hour to work on new products and new technology. As part of the self-reliance campaign, we saw that during the Corona period, many people started making sanitizers which was much needed. He said today’s research work should be done for the common man. With the advent of technology, we should make products that are low in cost and unmatched in technology without compromising on quality. Today, MSME has the additional responsibility of providing new opportunities in the rural, agricultural and tribal sectors as India is undoubtedly seen as a growing economic country on the world map and the youth here is the backbone of this country. Therefore, there is an urgent need to strengthen the production sector. He extended his best wishes to AIMA for organizing the convention on this subject.
Today, a total of five planners were held in which in-depth discussion on Innovation Readiness, Emerging Opportunities, Innovative Financing, Branding and Digital and Social Media Marketing were discussed. Various eminent speakers of the country participated in this convention. Mr. Harshapati Singhania, Mr. Rakesh Sethi, Mr. J.S. Juneja, Prof. Raj Aggarwal, Mr. Vipin Tyagi, Mr. Pradeep Sharma, Mr. Prahlada Kakkar are some of the prominent names among them. At the conclusion of the program, Prof. Raj Agarwal thanked everyone and this convention was extended to MSME. He said that on the basis of technology transfer and innovation, we can strengthen our GDP.
We had a poster competition organized for the students of our institute. The theme of the poster competition was ‘Skill India’. Students expressed their feelings through a sum of 22 posters. First, second and third prizes were given to the students. During lunch break, a quiz competition was also organized by Dr. Gunjan Bhatnagar (faculty management) with questions based on the functioning of M.S.M.E. and its contribution. The winning students of the quiz were also honored. The Director of the Institute, Dr. Naveen Gupta thanked all the members involved in the convention and appreciated own students for asking such relevant questions to the panelist. He said that our institute likes to have such kind of convention so that our educational activity can also move forward effectively and this proves to help us to enhance better quality in imparting value education.
The students of Anand Engineering College organized a Freshers’ Party “EUPHORIA 2020” on Dec 29, 2020 to welcome the Batch of 2020. The purpose of the Freshers Party was to make every new student feel connected as an integral part of the ANAND family and be ready to take on the challenges of the year ahead. Jovial smiles and high spirits marked the welcome party for the new students. The party was organized at Sir C V Raman Auditorium. It manifested youth and enthusiasm at its best.
As a trend of the Institute, the party began with the auspicious lamp lighting ceremony and prayers to Goddess Saraswati. Dr. Shailendra Singh, Director inaugurated the Event by welcoming the students through his motivational speech. Mr. Dharam Singh, Registrar welcome all new students and said that fresher’s party is all about creating everlasting relationships with each other. Such events are indication of union among the students.
Pulsating ambience, flashing lights and foot-tapping music, set the mood of the party right. The excitement augmented to a joyful high as performances graced the stage. The mercury began to rise, the dance floor was left open for some unbridled energy. Joy and happiness could be seen among students of each and every course at the college.
Vishvendra Singh from CS and Nalini Gupta from MBA I year were declared the Mr. Fresher and Miss Fresher of the Fresher Party. Harsh Mishra, MBA first year and Jahnvi Israni from Biotech First year were declared the winners of Title of Mr and Miss Popular respectively.
Anand College of Pharmacy welcomed freshers of B. Pharm & D. Pharm on 16th January, 2021. Prof. V. K. Sharma, Executive Vice President, SGI, Agra inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. After Saraswti vandana and bouquet presentations, Prof. (Dr) Kashmira J. Gohil, Dean, Anand College of Pharmacy, welcomed all and pointed out the main achievements of the college, while addressing the audience mentioning the historical importance of the day as nationwide vaccination against corona has started in India after never seen lockdown in the country with the major chaos that has ensued in world due to this covid-19. As Anand college of pharmacy has always gathered and maintained momentum for regular classes as online and now online plus offline classes, the students were motivated and instructed to be as dedicated and punctual in their studies emphasizing the need for Discipline as an integral part of student’s lives as the college is committed towards student’s growth and excellence in training in order to cater to the growing demands of Pharma industry. Prof, V. K. Sharma, Vice president of SGI, Agra addressed and motivated students conveying that the life is also a celebration and appealed all to be focused upon professional competence, skill, knowledge, behavior and good attitude to create a strong foundation in order to lead successful life forever. Students participated in an assortment of cultural performances such as Dancing, Singing, and stand-up comedy; ramp walk and standing dance were the center of attraction among these programs. Khushi Sharma and NamanVatyani (B. Pharm 1 st Year), were chosen as the “Ms. and Mr. fresher” 2021, and Sanskriti Srivastava and Pragyesh (D.Pharm 1 st Year) were chosen as the “Ms. And Mr. fresher” 2021,and were felicitated by the Dean Prof (Dr). K. J. Gohil. The whole event was coordinated and managed by Cultural Co-coordinators: Mr. Harsh Bardwaj, Mrs. Khushboo Lavania, Ms. komal Gurnani and Ms. Ashini Singh.
On 05th February 2021 Friday, 25th Fresher Party was organized at Hindustan College of Science and Technology, This function was organized to provide an atmosphere of complete intimacy and cooperation between newcomers and senior students.
The program was started with lighting the lamp in front of Mother Saraswati by Prof V.K. Sharma, Executive Vice President Sharda Group of institutions, Director Hindustan College, Prof. Dr. Rajeev Kumar Upadhyay, Dean Faculty Dr. Harendra Singh, Dean R&D Prof. M. S .Gaur, Dean Student Welfare Dr. Sandeep Agarwal, First Year Coordinator, Dr. Suruchi, Assistant Dean Academic Mr. Vijay Katta.
Director of the institute of Dr. Rajeev Kumar Upadhyay welcomed all the newcomer students and congratulated the senior students for their proper guidance and adoption of newcomer students and making the campus ragging free. He encouraged the first year students for good academic results. He said that 3 students of Hindustan College had Gold, Silver and Bronze medals based on AKTU’s merit list -2020 He said that the students of the institute are excellent not only in academics but also in sports and other disciplines. He motivated the students to keep creative ideas and be serious for study. He also thanked all the people directly and indirectly connected to the program for making the program successful.

Dr Rajesh Kaharwar, NCC officer, Lieutenant, Hindustan College, said that the NCC was started in 2012 with 50 seats in the institute and our NCC cadets were at state level, national level with many security forces such as paramilitary forces, Indian Army, state police forces and also employed in a specific security force. On this occasion NCC cadets were awarded certificates for their outstanding performance.

At the end of the program the Dean Student Welfare Dr. Sandeep Agarwal thanked the Cultural Committee, Food Committee, and congratulated all the organizing committees and senior students for organizing the program successfully.
