On 05th February 2021 Friday, 25th Fresher Party was organized at Hindustan College of Science and Technology, This function was organized to provide an atmosphere of complete intimacy and cooperation between newcomers and senior students.
The program was started with lighting the lamp in front of Mother Saraswati by Prof V.K. Sharma, Executive Vice President Sharda Group of institutions, Director Hindustan College, Prof. Dr. Rajeev Kumar Upadhyay, Dean Faculty Dr. Harendra Singh, Dean R&D Prof. M. S .Gaur, Dean Student Welfare Dr. Sandeep Agarwal, First Year Coordinator, Dr. Suruchi, Assistant Dean Academic Mr. Vijay Katta.
Director of the institute of Dr. Rajeev Kumar Upadhyay welcomed all the newcomer students and congratulated the senior students for their proper guidance and adoption of newcomer students and making the campus ragging free. He encouraged the first year students for good academic results. He said that 3 students of Hindustan College had Gold, Silver and Bronze medals based on AKTU’s merit list -2020 He said that the students of the institute are excellent not only in academics but also in sports and other disciplines. He motivated the students to keep creative ideas and be serious for study. He also thanked all the people directly and indirectly connected to the program for making the program successful.
Executive Vice President, Sharda Group Prof. V. K Sharma welcomed all the newcomers and motivated them to increase their academic performance. He encouraged the students to work in every field for the all round development of their personality.
Dr Rajesh Kaharwar, NCC officer, Lieutenant, Hindustan College, said that the NCC was started in 2012 with 50 seats in the institute and our NCC cadets were at state level, national level with many security forces such as paramilitary forces, Indian Army, state police forces and also employed in a specific security force. On this occasion NCC cadets were awarded certificates for their outstanding performance.
On this occasion, the students of the first year and second year presented cultural programs.
In the same sequence, the performance of Mr. Fresher 2020 Mr. Shikhar Singh, Computer Science and Miss Fresher 2020 Ms. Sejal Jain, Information Technology also received a lot of applause. At the end of the program.
Mr. Mukund Lal, Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics Communication Engineering, announced the name of Mr. and Miss of the year 2021. Mr. Shivam Vatayani and Ms. Akshita Sharma, Computer Science were selected as Mr & Ms Fresher2021.
At the end of the program the Dean Student Welfare Dr. Sandeep Agarwal thanked the Cultural Committee, Food Committee, and congratulated all the organizing committees and senior students for organizing the program successfully.
Cultural program was conducted under the supervision of Mamta Sharma and Mr. Mukund Lal. International Women’s Day was organized by the Hindustan College of Science and Technology. In which Miss Jyoti Kapoor, C.E.O. Agra Cantonment board was the Chief, Aparna Rajawat Dr. Rajwika Chauvey and Dr. Ruchi Chaturvedi, famous poetess were present as Guest of honour. The program was organized by the Department of Humanities. It was led by Dr. Mamta Sharma The program was inaugurated by Executive Vice President Sharda Group Prof. VK Sharma, Director of the institute, Dr. Rajiv Kumar Upadhyay and all distinguished guest with lamp lighting in front of Maa Saraswatiand Saraswati Vandana. The program was conducted by Assistant Professor of the Department of Humanities, Dr. Archana Gautam and Mrs. Sumita Lamba of the Information Technology Department.

Sharda Group Executive Vice President Prof. VK Sharma said that today the whole world is celebrating women’s Day but even today the women of the country are insecure, there has not been a reduction in the crimes against them, even many crimes are not recorded. Most women are not even aware of their rights. In such a situation, now the society will have to change the attitude towards women.
The director of the institute, Dr. Rajiv Kumar Upadhyay, in his welcome address, wished all the women present in the program on International Women’s Day and discussed the deteriorating sex ratio of the country and discussed many measures for the empowerment of women as well as the empowerment of humanity .
In India, women have been obedient and just respecting each other is more important than gender differences.Women should learn lessons from their elders, teachers, peers and other ideal women to achieve success in life. We should try our best to make women strong and self-supporting with an effort to change the attitude of society towards women. As a basic mantra, he told that the women should learn like an ascetic, fight the evils of society in accordance with their Indian culture and live gracefully.
Subsequently, Miss Jyoti Kapoor, the chief guest of the program, encouraged all men to honor women. He inspired everyone to increase their brightness and told how women can be successful in their lives and how they can overcome the obstacles that have come in the way of success, but told about their success by giving themselves examples and said that my commitment to my dream proved to be a boon. We can move towards success by paying attention to their redresses. Success in life is less based on knowledge
Special guest Miss Arpana Rajawat referred to the increasing crimes against women. He motivated women for their rights and said that in today’s era, empowerment of women is not an issue but it is very important to take measures to develop and build trust between the sexes. All women should act on the principle of respect sharing and treat others as expected of themselves for others. Half a dream is fulfilled only when we believe in ourselves. If you intend to do it, then the floor can be found with a flapping of wings.
Distinguished Guest Miss Dr. Rajwika Chaubey inspired all women to pay attention to their health first. He said that women should take care of themselves first and then the family. Describing the complete history of the day, she said that this International Women’s Day was started with a protest movement.
In 1908, on February 28, about 15,000 women marched in New York City in the United States to protest for fewer hours in jobs, equal pay for men, and the right to vote, exactly one year later in 1908 by the Socialist Party of America.
This day of 28 February was declared as the first National Women’s Day. After this it began to be celebrated on the last Sunday of February. Distinguished guest Dr.Ruchi Chaturvedi said that this day is celebrated in different ways in every country. Referring to Sunita Williams and Kalpana Chawla, she said that today women are making their own flag in each area. This day commemorates the economic, political and social achievements of women. She presented a poem on the occasion of Women’s Day.

The Controller of Examinations of the institute, Dr. R.K. Tiwari, informed that Mr. Shubham, Mr. Bushran Ahmed and Mr. Shashank Shekhar Mishra, students of Civil Engineering Department, have got 10 SGPA. Mr. Akshat Jain, student of Electronics and Communication Engineering department has secured 9.88 SGPA, whereas Mr. Ambikesh Mishra of Information Technology has scored 9.79 SGPA. Mr. Rohan Sharma of Mechanical Engineering scored 9.75 SGPA. Mr. Tanmay Garg of Computer Science and Engineering scored 9.67 SGPA. Mansi Sharma of Chemical Engineering scored 9.63 SGPA. Mr. Indermeet Singh Bakshi student of Biotechnology department scored 9.54 SGPA with 96. 1% marks. Anand Engineering College Agra has organised a guest lecture on Solar Energy. The speaker was Dr Chetan Singh Solanki from IIT Mumbai.
Dr. Shailendra Singh, Director of the College welcomed Dr. Solanki by presenting a bouquet. He said that Dr. Chetan Singh Solanki, a professor from IIT Bombay, brand ambassador of Solar Energy for Govt. of MP, and Founder of the Energy Swaraj Foundation is a well known Environment activist who has pledged not to go home until 2030 and live & travel in the solar bus.
In his speech Dr Solanki said that Energy Swaraj – an Essence of Sustainability Energy is Everything and Everything is Energy. Gandhiji’s statement that “Earth has enough for everybody’s need but not for anybody’s greed” is as fundamental as the fact Sun rising from the East. However, in contradiction, the world economies are increasingly trying to produce more and consume more. This contradiction is fuelled mainly by fossil energy(80-85%), leading to another contradiction wherein increasing energy consumption is required to maintain economic growth, while rampant use of fossil energy is causing climate change. Climate change is threatening not only sustainable life but the sustainability of life on the planet. We have only 8-10 years left before we reach global warming of 1.5oC (IPCC report). Therefore “drastic” and “immediate” actions are required to mitigate climate change. The solution lies in adopting Energy Swaraj or generating and consuming energy locally. Adopting Energy Swaraj will also help in skill development, livelihood creation, energy independence, local economy strengthening, and of course, climate change mitigation. The Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Mrs. Anandiben Patel, the Chief Guest of the 19th Convocation of AKTU, presented the gold medal to the student Indermeet.
