Anand College of Pharmacy (SGI, Agra) celebrated “World Health Day”, on 7th April, 2021. on theme “building a fairer, healthier world” as the theme 21^st century.

All students participated with great enthusiasm along with faculty members through a powerpoint presentation on “COVID-19, Preventions and Precautions to create awareness regarding ongoing pandemic.

Dean, Anand College of Pharmacy Prof. (Dr). Kashmira J. Gohil, congratulated all students and staff for celebrating this day with great enthusiasm and appreciated them for their active participation imparting information on ongoing covid and vaccination. The students were further motivated to maintain a professional cultured environment in the college.

Kushi Kapoor(B. Pharm 1^stYear, Section-A), Ayesha Kausar and Tapan Kumar(D. Pharm 2nd Year), Harshit Sachdeva(B. Pharm 2^nd Year, Section-A) andAryan Bharti (B. Pharm 1st Year, Section-A) and Anjali Chauhan(B. Pharm 1^stYear, Section-B) participated in oral presentation and enhanced awareness on “World Health Day”.

The event was coordinated by faculty members, Mr. Harsh Bhardwaj, Ms. Ashini Singh, Ms. Komal Gurnani, Ms. Gunjan Verma and Ms. Diksha Singh. 

The 6th National Leadership Conclave was virtually organized by the All India Management Association (AIMA). Students and Faculty of Hindustan Institute of Management and Computer Studies (HIMCS) joined this conclave as an academic partner. The aforesaid conclave held on 20^th and 21^st of April, 2021 on the topic “The Big Disruption: Leadership in the Post-Covid World”.

HIMCS organized a quiz competition for students based on the content of this conclave with an award “Most Avid Learner Award”.

The main attraction of conclave was the Honorable Minister of External Affairs of the Government of India, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar. He answered the questions and doubts of different participants including students regarding the different measured taken by the Gov. of India while dealing with COVID-19. When one of the participants asked him that “When there is a shortage of Corona- Vaccine in India then Why we are exporting Vaccine?”, he replied that since India is importing raw materials for Corona-Vaccine from other countries so we have to provide them the final product also. Similarly, he commented on the India-China relationship and said “We must have a return to peace and tranquility on the China border”. “Last year, that changed. Without provocation, China brought enormous force to the border. You can’t disrupt peace and tranquility at the border and carry on with the rest of the relationship… If this relationship is to progress, I must have a return to peace and tranquility on the border”. He extended his best wishes to AIMA for organizing the convention on this subject. The conclave was led and co-chaired by Mr. Sanjiv Goenka, Chairman, RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, and Mr. Sunil Kant Munjal, Chairman, Hero Enterprise.

Various eminent speakers of the country participated in this conclave. Mr. N Chandrasekaran– (Chairman, Tata Sons), Mr. Harsh Pati Singhania (Chairman & MD, JK Paper), Mr. Ajay Bijli (Chairman & MD, PVR Ltd.), Mr. Alok S Kirloskar (MD, SPP Pumps Ltd.), Mr. C K Ranganathan (Chairman & MD, CavinKare Pvt. Ltd.), Mr. Krishna Ella (Chairman & MD, Bharat Biotech International Ltd.), Mr. Shashi Tharoor (Member of Indian Parliament), Mr. ShicSarin (Director, Institute of Liver and Biliary Science) are some of the prominent names among them.

The Director of the HIMCS, Dr.  Naveen Gupta thanked all the members involved in the conclave and appreciated own students for asking such relevant questions to different speakers.  He said that learning by experience is the most valuable leaning and our institute is committed to having such kind of conclave in future also, so that our students can gain knowledge from the experiences of other leaders of the national and international market.

The conclave in digital mode was able to reach out to a larger audience and as expected over 3000 participants from across India and the world comprising policymakers, CEOs, thought leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, senior-level managers, and management students joined the Conclave.

A Guest lecture was organized in our institute “Hindustan Institute of Management and Computer Studies” titled Cross Border Business. As the keynote speaker of today’s lecture, Mr. Sudhir Kesarwani from US Commercial Services, New Delhi told all the facts that made MBA, MCA and all the students associated with technical education can give a new dimension to their career by understanding the International Business World. The director of the institute, Dr. Naveen Gupta welcomed Mr. Sudhir Kesarwani. Professor Shantanu Kumar Sahu gave the vote of thanks as the moderator of this session. MBA students Himanshu Sharma, Tavish Goswami, and Deepti Dixit played the role of conducting the programme as student coordinator. All the faculty, staff and students of the institute participated in this guest talk. Apart from this, students related to management and technical education of Agra and Mathura region also participated.

Anand College of Pharmacy, SGI, Agra organized an orientation program for newcomer (fresher) students of B. Pharm. and D. Pharm. on 12 October 2021 in B. Pharm hall of the college. More than 120 students participated in this program with their parents.

Prof. (Dr.) K. J. Gohil, Dean of the college welcomed and congratulated the newcomers on getting admission in Anand college of Pharmacy and talked about the importance of the noble pharmacy profession along with the need of proper aptitude, attitude and discipline from students in studying the professional course as Pharmacy.

Prof. V. K. Sharma (Executive Vice President of SGI) delivered a motivational speech including deep knowledge of the domain, good attitude & behavior, and ability to apply professionalism in real life.

Prof. (Dr.) K. J. Gohil along with Prof. V. K. Sharma felicitated meritorious students of session 2019-20 and 2020-21 respectively. Dr. Pankaj Verma (Registrar) delivered an introduction to the college and organization. Dr. Rekha T. Rajput, Controller of examination delivered a speech on examination patterns and assessment systems. Dr. Ritesh Kumar delivered a presentation on the introduction and scope of pharmacy. Mrs. M. Shamshath Begum informed the rules and regulations of college to students as a counsellor.

In this event, the Dean along with all the faculty members of the college congratulated and blessed them for their bright career in the profession of pharmacy.

An orientation program was conducted to welcome the newly admitted students in first year at Anand Engineering College Technical Campus Agra, the prestigious college of Sharda Group of Institutions. The program was organized according to the prescribed schedule of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow.

Event was inaugurated by Dr. Shailendra Singh, Director AECTC, Dr. V K Sharma, EVP-SGI, Dr. Mukesh Agarwal, Regional Dy Director Basic Education and Mr. Jawahar Lal Srivastava, City Magistrate Mathura.

Dr. Shailendra Singh, Director of the college congratulated all the students and their parents for being a part of ANAND Family.  In his welcome address he briefs the students about the college facilities like hostel, medical, transport, library and laboratories. He also presented the achievements of the students of the college. He threw some light on annual celebrations, Counseling System, Training and Placement, Training and Development and Cultural Activities. He motivated the students and asked them to come out of their comfort zone and work hard. He also suggested the students keep in touch with the alumni of the college.

Prof. V. K Sharma, Executive Vice President, Sharda Group of Institutions thanked all the parents to express their faith in the college. He said that good education, decency, good attitude and communication skills are very important aspects for a successful career. He advised the students to be self-governed and be disciplined throughout their life.

Dr Manish Babu Agarwal, Coordinator of First Year interacted with the parents and students and told that the Induction Program will help the students to understand the need and responsibilities towards the family, society and nature along with their core subjects.

The students of Anand Engineering College, Agra organized a Freshers’ Party  on Dec 18, 2021 to welcome the new Batch of 2021. The purpose of the Freshers Party was to make every new student feel connected as an integral part of the ANAND family and be ready to take on the challenges of the year ahead.  Jovial smiles and high spirits marked the welcome party for the new students. The party was organized at Sir C V Raman Auditorium. It manifested youth and enthusiasm at its best.

As a trend of the Institute, the party began with the auspicious lamp lighting ceremony and prayers to Goddess Saraswati.  Dr. Shailendra Singh, Director inaugurated the Event by welcoming the students through his motivational speech. Mr. Dharam Singh, Registrar welcomed all new students and said that fresher’s party is all about creating everlasting relationships with each other. Such events are an indication of union among the students.

Pulsating ambience, flashing lights and foot-tapping music, set the mood of the party right. The excitement augmented to a joyful high as performances graced the stage. The mercury began to rise, the dance floor was left open for some unbridled energy. Joy and happiness could be seen among students of each and every course at the college.
