Magnifest is one of the biggest management-technical-cultural fest of Northern India organized by students of HIMCS. This year,  more than 3000 participants of 30 colleges from across the India participated in 25 various events like B-Plan Competition, Case Stuy, Ad Making Competition,  Best Manager –tycoon , Fashion Show, Rock Band Competition, Singing & dancing event, Programming Competition, Debugging and Software Development Competition etc.  Prize money worth rs. 2 lakh was given to winners.

The colorful opening ceremony of Gyan Jyoti-2020, an Annual Techno-Cultural Festival of Hindustan College was inaugurated by Mr. Harish Rautela, Brajprant Pracharak, as Chief Guest and Mr. Ajit Anjum, Managing Editor of India TV, News24, as Guest of Honour in APJ Abdul Kalam Auditorium, grand auditorium of the College after the lamp lighting and recitation of Saraswati Vandana on 5th February, 2020.  The dignitaries specially invited to this program were honored by offering flowers to them. The Convener of Gyan Jyoti-2020, Dr. Puneet Mangla gave a detailed description of about 40 programs and events of the ceremony. More than 500 students had registered for participation in various competitions and activities from HCST and other institutes of Agra-Mathura region.

All the activities and competitions were judged by invited judges from relative fields. Dr. Rajeev Kumar Upadhyay, Director of the college welcomed all the guests at the inauguration ceremony and presented a detailed account of the achievements of the college. The students Muskan Khetan of the college have brightened the name of HCST by getting AIR – 18 and AIR – 46 by Shivangi Agarwal, a student of Bio-Tech. Engineering who excelled in the GATE examination at the all India level in 2019.  He told that 5 students of the college got more than 90 percent and 23 students got more than 80 percent marks in the first semester examination of AKTU, Lucknow. He also praised the contribution of the organizers for the successful organization of this annual event in the previous years.

He told that the college is running or has completed many programs funded by DST, NIMT, CSIR. He told that the college has signed MOUs with well known organizations like, MSME, Jackson State University, Bulgium and TSIR etc. He further told that the college has established Automatic Weather Center, I.V hub, and The Center of Excellence and the Nodal Centre of Universal Human Values and Professional Ethics of AKTU, Lucknow. Executive Director of Sharda Group, Prof.  D.G. Roy Chaudhary welcomed all the guests at the event and encouraged the minds to participants in the Gyan Jyoti 2020.

The Executive Vice President of SGI,  Prof.  V.K. Sharma, said that for the last 20 years, the college has been continuously organizing the annual celebrations of Gyan Jyoti successfully.  In this ceremony, the students demonstrate their skills and learn the methods of management.  He encouraged the students to participate in maximum numbers of activities and sent best wishes for their success.  He called Gyan Jyoti the festival of ‘Light of Knowledge’.

The Special Guest of the program, Mr. Ajit Anjum, in his address shared the journey of his student life and career from the beginning to till now. In his speech he presented the example of Mr. Dhiru Bhai Ambani, Founder of Reliance Industry and Thomas Alva Edison, and Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam who got success in life and profession.  He also said that the CEOs of the world’s top 100 companies are mostly engineers.  Giving the example of Satya Nadella, he said that he is still serving as Microsoft Chief despite being an electrical engineer.  He asked the students to recognize their strengths and remove their weaknesses and develop them as their strengths and work according to their interests.  He said that the most important thing for engineers is the idea and secondly the use of that idea.  He told the students that 99 percent of people have succeeded with their hard work and only one percent people are God gifted.  Presenting a famous quotation, he said, “laharon se darker noka paar nahi hoti, koshish karne valon ki kabhi har nahi hoti’. He inspired to those who try by giving example of the ant that the ant does not feel tired and give up the task. She carry grain, and slips hundred times from the climbing walls”.

The Chief Guest at the program, Mr. Harish Rautela, discussed spirituality.  He said that the one which is in the body, is in the Universe, the one who knows this fact is called Vivekananda.  He motivated the students to bring the country on the path of progress along with their own progress.  He said that by putting spirituality and science together, the world can be taken on the path of development.  Referring to a question asked by Vivekananda, he said that someone asked Vivekananda if India would be divided in small groups due to poor conditions and slavery, he gave a simple answer and said that while we worked for the search for God no one can divide us.  At the end, he asked to the students to learn many things from this function of knowledge and  actualize them in life.  Along with this, he encouraged the students to participate enthusiastically in the Gyan Jyoti-2020.

At the end of the ceremony, vote of thanks was presented by the Dean Student Welfare Dr.  Sandeep Aggarwal. The program was successfully anchored by Adamsiraj, Shobhita, Devan Bansal and Shruti Aggarwal.  On this occasion, all the staff members, and students of all departments were present.

Anand Engineering College Technical Campus, Agra is organizing its 21st Annual Techno-cultural fest Cerebrum 2020 on 6th -7th March 2020. Sh. V K Sharma, Executive Vice President SGI, Dr Shailendra Singh, Director Anand Engineering College Agra and other invited dignitaries formally inaugurated the Cerebrum 2020 by lightening the lamp on 6th March 2020.

Dr Shailendra Singh, Director Anand Engineering College, Agra in his welcome speech highlighted the achievements of students and faculty members during the previous year. Later, he presented the annual progress report of the college and said that Anand Engineering College is committed and determined for the development of students. He also stated that Techno-Cultural fest Cerebrum is a function of the students, by the students and for the students.

Sh V K Sharma, Executive Vice President,  Sharda Group of Institutions addressed the gathering and quoted that such co-curricular activities not only help students in their overall development but also make them self reliant and confident. He also congratulated the young students for their untiring efforts and creativity.

Dr. Himanshu Vijay, Convener and Dr. Aatrey Pandey Co-convener of Cerebrum 2020, brief the program of Cerebrum and said that these types of technical and cultural fests will help the students to enrich their knowledge, skills and abilities in organizing events and hence in the overall personality development. They added that this year various technical, cultural and fun events like Paper presentation, poster presentation, code rush, Mind power games, Drama, Chhota Bheem, Bike Racing are the most attractions of the Cerebrum.

International Women Day Celebration

International Women’s Day was organized by the Hindustan College of Science and Technology. In which Miss Jyoti Kapoor, C.E.O. Agra Cantonment board was the Chief, Aparna Rajawat Dr. Rajwika Chauvey and  Dr. Ruchi Chaturvedi, famous poetess were present as Guest of honour. The program was organized by the Department of Humanities. It was led by Dr. Mamta Sharma The program was inaugurated by Executive Vice President Sharda Group Prof. VK Sharma, Director of the institute, Dr. Rajiv Kumar Upadhyay and all distinguished guest with lamp lighting in front of Maa Saraswatiand Saraswati Vandana. The program was conducted by Assistant Professor of the Department of Humanities, Dr. Archana Gautam and Mrs. Sumita Lamba of the Information Technology Department.

On this occasion, mothers of 36 talented students of the institute were honored Executive Vice President,Sharda Group Prof. VK Sharma and Director of the Institute Dr. Rajiv Kumar Upadhyay welcomed the Chief Guest and distinguished guests with sapling.

Sharda Group Executive Vice President Prof. VK Sharma said that today the whole world is celebrating women’s Day but even today the women of the country are insecure, there has not been a reduction in the crimes against them, even many crimes are not recorded. Most women are not even aware of their rights. In such a situation, now the society will have to change the attitude towards women.

The director of the institute, Dr. Rajiv Kumar Upadhyay, in his welcome address, wished all the women present in the program on International Women’s Day and discussed the deteriorating sex ratio of the country and discussed many measures for the empowerment of women as well as the empowerment of humanity .

In India, women have been obedient and just respecting each other is more important than gender differences.Women should learn lessons from their elders, teachers, peers and other ideal women to achieve success in life. We should try our best to make women strong and self-supporting with an effort to change the attitude of society towards women. As a basic mantra, he told that the women should learn like an ascetic, fight the evils of society in accordance with their Indian culture and live gracefully.

Subsequently, Miss Jyoti Kapoor, the chief guest of the program, encouraged all men to honor women. He inspired everyone to increase their brightness and told how women can be successful in their lives and how they can overcome the obstacles that have come in the way of success, but told about their success by giving themselves examples and said that my commitment to my dream proved to be a boon. We can move towards success by paying attention to their redresses. Success in life is less based on knowledge

Special guest Miss Arpana Rajawat referred to the increasing crimes against women. He motivated women for their rights and said that in today’s era, empowerment of women is not an issue but it is very important to take measures to develop and build trust between the sexes. All women should act on the principle of respect sharing and treat others as expected of themselves for others. Half a dream is fulfilled only when we believe in ourselves. If you intend to do it, then the floor can be found with a flapping of wings.

Distinguished Guest Miss Dr. Rajwika Chaubey inspired all women to pay attention to their health first. He said that women should take care of themselves first and then the family. Describing the complete history of the day, she said that this International Women’s Day was started with a protest movement.

In 1908, on February 28, about 15,000 women marched in New York City in the United States to protest for fewer hours in jobs, equal pay for men, and the right to vote, exactly one year later in 1908 by the Socialist Party of America.

This day of 28 February was declared as the first National Women’s Day. After this it began to be celebrated on the last Sunday of February. Distinguished guest Dr.Ruchi Chaturvedi said that this day is celebrated in different ways in every country. Referring to Sunita Williams and Kalpana Chawla, she said that today women are making their own flag in each area. This day commemorates the economic, political and social achievements of women. She presented a poem on the occasion of Women’s Day.

In making the program a successful, the first year coordinator, Dr. Suruchi, Dr. Richa Kapoor. Dr. Mukti Pandey had a special contribution.

At the end of the ceremony, the vote of thanks was given by Dr. Mamta Sharma the head of the Humanities Department of the institute.

Sharda Virtual Marathon organizes by Anand Campus

As part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav a Fit India Freedom Run SHARDA VIRTUAL MARATHON – 2021 was organised by Anand Engineering College, Agra on August 13 & 14, 2021. Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsava is celebrated all across the country and Anand Engineering College too joins the celebration through the SHARDA VIRTUAL MARATHON – 2021. The Marathon was categorised into three levels – 2Km, 5 Km and 10 Km.

Dr. Shailendra Singh, Director of the College flag off the Virtual Marathon. The Event was coordinated by Dr. Rampal Singh and Er. Prakash Kumar.

Plantation Programme

A plantation drive was organised by NSS Unit of Anand Engineering College Agra. The Drive was inaugurated by Dr. Shailendra Singh, Director, Anand Campus.  Around 200 saplings of different plants were planted.  The motto behind this mass plantation drive was to make students aware about the value of a green and healthy environment. This noble act will inspire the young generation to take initiative for the betterment of their surroundings.  Dr. Rampal Singh, NSS officer of the College coordinated the event.
