Students of Anand College Of Pharmacy launches awareness campaign for school students

Awareness campaign on Dengue, Chikungunya and Malaria were organized by Students of Anand College of Pharmacy (SGI) to create awareness for diseases in nearby rural areas like Lohakarera, Runakta. Faculty Coordinators Dr. Monika Singh and Ms. Preeti Solanki  coordinated this Awareness campaign. Schools covered are SHAMFORD (Jaupura, Agra), Shri R. S. Public School (Sikandra, Agra), Draupdi Higher Secondary School (Shastri Puram, Agra) and Sun Lords Public School.   In this campaign students give information about diseases, prevention and their treatment for dengue fever, Swine flu and others.

Dean, Anand College of Pharmacy Dr. Kashmira J. Gohil, feels proud on such kind of community services and told that Pharmacists need to utilize this noble opportunity to serve the community by using technological skill to their best of the abilities with right balance of kindness and compassion for self growth as well as others, as the science and technology alone, can not take away all the ills of mankind, was the gist of the message.

We are glad to inform that Anand College of Pharmacy (SGI, Agra) organized Webinar on “Redefine your Lab-based Learning with Lt Platform”

A webinar on “Redefine your Lab-based Learning with Lt Platform” was organized at Anand College of Pharmacy   in collaboration with AD Instruments on 29th September, 2020, Tuesday at 2-00 pm to 3-30pm.

Mr. JKL Prasad (BDM North & East India), Mr. Muktesh Sharma (Assistant Manager) Mr. Mohd Farooque (Application Specialist), AD Instruments South Asia (India) Pvt. Ltd, New Delhi, elaborated on software experiments in experimental pharmacology sharing all practical aspects including demonstration of anti-inflammatory and cardiac activities on animal models.

Prof. (Dr) K. J. Gohil, Dean, Anand College of Pharmacy, SGI coordinated this webinar in college to inspire knowledge sharing on interactive learning platform in the unprecedented time of COVID-19. Also the fact that actual animal experiments are banned in primary graduate level keeping with the norms and regulations of CPCSEA, Govt. of India; the online learning mode is the only available mode to learn practical aspects of subjects in Pharmacology.

All faculty members of Anand college of Pharmacy attended the webinar online. Dean commended all participants for the same, emphasizing that these online modes of teaching and learning were the only way out for teachers and students in this pandemic situation and to keep updating their knowledge to assist students better by effective knowledge sharing and updates on latest technologies.

Hindustan College ties up with NSIC, Faridabad

Hindustan College of Science and Technology, a prestigious institute of Sharda Group  has tied up with National Small Industries, Technical Services Centre, Neemka, Faridabad for training, internship and placement of students.

NSIC is an organization of the Ministry of Micro Small Medium Enterprises, Government of India, which has a state-of-the-art technical training centre in Faridabad.  It is among the centre’s state-of-the-art technologies to offer training programs and placement opportunities for undergraduate engineering and technical students in various disciplines.  This MOU has been conducted in NSIC Faridabad.

This laboratory will help the students in many subjects like robotic systems, machine vision technology, industrial internet of things etc.  This will help the students of Electronics Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science.

 

Shri Ramkumar Yadav Deputy Chief of NSIC expressed his happiness that the NSIC Technical Servicesis happy to introduce special training programs for college students in association with Hindustan College. He informed that the centre offers customized training programs for students as per the market requirements.  With this agreement, handholding support will be provided to students for working in the laboratory and NSIC centres.  They will also be trained by the experts of the centre.  Studentswill also be trained during summer and winter break. He also informed that college teachers will also be trained under this agreement.

Mr. YK Gupta, Vice Chairman, Sharda Group and Executive Vice President Prof. VK Sharma, Hindustan College’s expressed happiness over the agreement with NSIC  Hesaid that the students of the institute will be certified by the training centres of the government.

Dr.  Rajiv Kumar Upadhyay, the director of the institute thanked NSIC, Faridabad for this agreement with the institute and told that the students of Electronics and Communication, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Chemical Engineering will be trained by the centre and they will get excellent placement opportunities.

Dr. T. Senthil, Head of Industry Interface stated that this agreement would give the student an opportunity to increase his knowledge.  Under this agreement, the student will receive training in various subjects such as Pion, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, 3D Printing, Material Testing, Chemical Testing and Robotic Systems which will help in increasing employment opportunities for the student.  It also planned to organize employment fairs for the employment opportunities of the students.

On this occasion, all the deans, head of department, teachers and employees of the institute expressed happiness over the agreement with NSIC and Hindustan College.
