Talent Hunt-2020 – HIMCS

The first-year students of Hindustan Institute of Management and Computer Studies, Farah, Mathura (HIMCS) walked into their first year of MBA and MCA program. In an effort to make the fresher’s feel welcomed as a part of the HIMCS family, the Talent Hunt programme was organized by the seniors. Seniors shared their experiences with the new batch of students as they spoke about what awaits the new students in the academic year ahead. Here at HIMCS, Talent Hunt Competition is a platform for MBA and MCA newcomers to showcase their hidden talents. A talent hunt is an event in which participants perform the arts of singing, dancing, lip-syncing, acting, playing an instrument, poetry, comedy or other activities to showcase skills.

A slew of performances were held for the new batch of students. These included performances in dance, music, stand-up comedy and oratory. A funny skit and a management quiz were also on the cards. Thus talent hunt is much awaited affair for seniors as well as juniors. This ceremony began with a candle light welcome for juniors where Director of the institute, Dr. Naveen Gupta lightened the lamp. The ceremony saw many dazzling performances by both seniors and juniors alike from energetic dance numbers that made evening even more charming. Students performed on various songs like kab tak chup baithe, kamli kamli, ore piya, zulie zulie, Oh beta Ji etc. Ramp walk rounds were there, where juniors suppressed their feelings and introduced themselves. They answered the Judge’s questions.

Dr. Naveen Gupta openly praised the immense potential of management and computer studies students. He said that today there is a need to express your words vigorously in front of others where communication becomes very important. He said that I have seen many such students who appear to be very influential externally but as soon as they are asked to express their views on a subject, the reality comes out. Therefore, today there is a need to create our own image. We need to strengthen our network so that the students of the new batch can learn from their experiences and could take inspiration from their seniors.

Best Innovator- Kajal Srivastava

Best Intellect- Saurabh Upadhyay

Best Personality- Srishti Chauhan (MBA) and Gaurav Saini (MCA)

Best Performer- Neha Verma and Manav Arora

The Departmental Head-MBA, Dr. Abhilasha Singh, Dr. Riju A. Singh, MCA-Head Shri N. K. Mishra and all the teachers and staff of the institute were present in APJ Kalam Auditorium today. All the people present in the auditorium cheered after seeing the presentation of the first-year aspiring students of the institute. At the same time, the theatrical performances of the final year students were highly appreciated. He captivated everyone with their unique skit. The students performed the melody by the guitar. The amazing talent of the students was enhanced through group dance, group anthem and recitation of poetry together. With the ramp-walk performed by the students was revealing the confidence contained in them, which is essential to strengthen their personality.

Dr. Sheetal Sachdeva, Dr. Gunjan Bhatnagar and Mr. Vivek Pandey were handled the responsibility on behalf of the faculty. From MBA second year Aishwarya Bulani, Rashmi Yadav, Utkarsh Jain, Akshay Pundir, Suraj Chandola, Rishita Jain, Prateek Chawla, Sonali Sonkar, Adarsh Chaudhary were the coordinators for this event and from MCA second year, Prashant Rajawat and Ila Varasi handled this responsibility.

Hardik Jain, a first year student sharing his views said, “Our seniors really put in a lot of time and effort into organizing this talent hunt event and we appreciate them for giving us an insight into their wonderful journey at HIMCS”.
Acknowledging the efforts of the seniors, Mugdha Singh, stated that “In these pandemic times our seniors gave us fresher’s a welcome to the HIMCS family. The love and affection was felt by all of us”.

SOS organized meeting on Changing in Life after Covid-19 – HIMCS

The weekly meeting of the Team Soldiers of Society was held on 19th February 2021 at Raja Ki Mandi railway station.  In the meeting, the Director of Hindustan Institute of Management and Computer Studies, Dr. Naveen Gupta, discussed the changes in the lives of everyone after Covid.

Apart from this, he also talked about how mental and physical health can be cured.  Shri Lal Chandji of our institute was awarded the title of Environment Friend and received a prize money of Rs. 1100.  Lalchand ji has contributed significantly in making eco-bricks from plastic bottles.

International Women Day Celebration

International Women’s Day was organized by the Hindustan College of Science and Technology. In which Miss Jyoti Kapoor, C.E.O. Agra Cantonment board was the Chief, Aparna Rajawat Dr. Rajwika Chauvey and  Dr. Ruchi Chaturvedi, famous poetess were present as Guest of honour. The program was organized by the Department of Humanities. It was led by Dr. Mamta Sharma The program was inaugurated by Executive Vice President Sharda Group Prof. VK Sharma, Director of the institute, Dr. Rajiv Kumar Upadhyay and all distinguished guest with lamp lighting in front of Maa Saraswatiand Saraswati Vandana. The program was conducted by Assistant Professor of the Department of Humanities, Dr. Archana Gautam and Mrs. Sumita Lamba of the Information Technology Department.

On this occasion, mothers of 36 talented students of the institute were honored Executive Vice President,Sharda Group Prof. VK Sharma and Director of the Institute Dr. Rajiv Kumar Upadhyay welcomed the Chief Guest and distinguished guests with sapling.

Sharda Group Executive Vice President Prof. VK Sharma said that today the whole world is celebrating women’s Day but even today the women of the country are insecure, there has not been a reduction in the crimes against them, even many crimes are not recorded. Most women are not even aware of their rights. In such a situation, now the society will have to change the attitude towards women.

The director of the institute, Dr. Rajiv Kumar Upadhyay, in his welcome address, wished all the women present in the program on International Women’s Day and discussed the deteriorating sex ratio of the country and discussed many measures for the empowerment of women as well as the empowerment of humanity .

In India, women have been obedient and just respecting each other is more important than gender differences.Women should learn lessons from their elders, teachers, peers and other ideal women to achieve success in life. We should try our best to make women strong and self-supporting with an effort to change the attitude of society towards women. As a basic mantra, he told that the women should learn like an ascetic, fight the evils of society in accordance with their Indian culture and live gracefully.

Subsequently, Miss Jyoti Kapoor, the chief guest of the program, encouraged all men to honor women. He inspired everyone to increase their brightness and told how women can be successful in their lives and how they can overcome the obstacles that have come in the way of success, but told about their success by giving themselves examples and said that my commitment to my dream proved to be a boon. We can move towards success by paying attention to their redresses. Success in life is less based on knowledge

Special guest Miss Arpana Rajawat referred to the increasing crimes against women. He motivated women for their rights and said that in today’s era, empowerment of women is not an issue but it is very important to take measures to develop and build trust between the sexes. All women should act on the principle of respect sharing and treat others as expected of themselves for others. Half a dream is fulfilled only when we believe in ourselves. If you intend to do it, then the floor can be found with a flapping of wings.

Distinguished Guest Miss Dr. Rajwika Chaubey inspired all women to pay attention to their health first. He said that women should take care of themselves first and then the family. Describing the complete history of the day, she said that this International Women’s Day was started with a protest movement.

In 1908, on February 28, about 15,000 women marched in New York City in the United States to protest for fewer hours in jobs, equal pay for men, and the right to vote, exactly one year later in 1908 by the Socialist Party of America.

This day of 28 February was declared as the first National Women’s Day. After this it began to be celebrated on the last Sunday of February. Distinguished guest Dr.Ruchi Chaturvedi said that this day is celebrated in different ways in every country. Referring to Sunita Williams and Kalpana Chawla, she said that today women are making their own flag in each area. This day commemorates the economic, political and social achievements of women. She presented a poem on the occasion of Women’s Day.

In making the program a successful, the first year coordinator, Dr. Suruchi, Dr. Richa Kapoor. Dr. Mukti Pandey had a special contribution.

At the end of the ceremony, the vote of thanks was given by Dr. Mamta Sharma the head of the Humanities Department of the institute.

NCC Cadets of Hindustan College were awarded

NC.C. Cadets was awarded the rank for his outstanding contributions in the auditorium of the prestigious institute Hindustan College of Science and Technology. Their activities like behavior, discipline, drill, team work, blood donation, tree plantation, extension of education, traffic control, sanitizer, mask distribution, cleanliness campaign during Covid-19, Cadet  Bushran Ahmed (Civil Engineer, final year) was awarded the rank of Senior Under Officer, Cadet Mansi Sharma (IT final year) was awarded the rank of Senior Under Officer Cadet Alkendra Singh (Computer Science) Avadh Kumar Srivastava (Electrical Final Year), got  Under Officer Rank  and Cadet Pradeep Sharma (Mechanical Final Year) has been awarded with quarter Master Rank. On this occasion, all cadets received NCC Certificate of B.

too our students have also performed excellent in the GATE exams, In GATE- 2018 Survanshu Saxena got AIR-10, Achikya Chaudhary got AIR-22, in GATE – 2019 Shubhangi Agarwal got AIR-18, Muskan Khaitan AIR-46 was commendable. He said that the student are always in the merit list of AKTU exams.

Training Program for Councilors (Parshads) of Agra Region – HIMCS

Hindustan Institute Of Management & Computer Studies Farah Mathura organized a one-day training program for Parshads of Agra Region on Meeting Citizens expectations & Image building of Agra. The training programme focused on the leadership skills of councilors, their potential, and their responsibility towards the image building of Agra City. The programme focused on the attitude change towards society and City. The first phase of the training programme consists of three modules i.e. Understanding and fulfilling expectations, Leading and Managing Change, Understanding your personal effectiveness.

The pedagogy used for the training the programme was Participatory, Experience Sharing, Cooperative Learning, Role Playing, Management games.

The resource person was Dr Naveen Gupta, Behavioral Scientist, and Director HIMCS. The exercises used by Dr. Naveen to train the parshads were balloon activity, tennis ball exercise, and DUTA case study to help parshads understand continuous improvement and change is the need of our, teamwork, support and collaboration and full utilization of the potential of each member of the team is very important to give timely and effective results. They also learned the POLCA concept to understand management theory.

The parshads participated actively in the programme. The programme was well appreciated and parshads asked for such programme to be regularly organized in future as well.

The Programme Coordinator was Asst Prof. Mr. Shantanu Kumar Sahu from HIMCS. Dr Abhilasha Singh, Dr Riju A Singh, Dr Sheetal Sachdeva, Dr Gunjan Bhatnagar and Mr Akhilesh Chandra were also attended the session.

World Health Day Celebration At Anand College of Pharmacy

Anand College of Pharmacy (SGI, Agra) celebrated “World Health Day”, on 7th April, 2021. on theme “building a fairer, healthier world” as the theme 21st century.

 

All students participated with great enthusiasm along with faculty members through a powerpoint presentation on “COVID-19, Preventions and Precautions to create awareness regarding ongoing pandemic.

Dean, Anand College of Pharmacy Prof. (Dr). Kashmira J. Gohil, congratulated all students and staff for celebrating this day with great enthusiasm and appreciated them for their active participation imparting information on ongoing covid and vaccination. The students were further motivated to maintain a professional cultured environment in the college.

Kushi Kapoor(B. Pharm 1stYear, Section-A), Ayesha Kausar and Tapan Kumar(D. Pharm 2nd Year), Harshit Sachdeva(B. Pharm 2nd Year, Section-A) andAryan Bharti (B. Valedictory Function of Scout Guide Camp

The five-day Scout Guide Camp at Anand College of Education, Keetham, Agra was concluded with great joy. Scout guide ASOC, Agra mandal, Agra Shri Rakesh Saini and Registrar of Sharda Group Shri Manish Gupta were present as special guests in the program. The program was presided over by the college director Dr. PK Singh. The program was inaugurated by lighting a lamp in front of Mother Sharda. Mr. Rakesh Saini, who was present as the chief speaker and the chief guest, gave detailed information about the principles of the Scout Guide and said that through this training, adjusting to the real situation of life, to make the life alive and inside the human being Training is made to build humanity.

Program President Dr. PK Singh appreciated the camp and said that all training candidates should develop human qualities in themselves so that the spirit of public service and national service is developed in you. At the end of the program, tents prepared by the training and food without fire were evaluated by the chief guest. The teams were awarded by the College Director in the first, second and third place in the competition. Dr. Vishesh Rajput, Mrs. Bhavna Agre, Mrs. Alka Mishra, Mrs. Usha Singh, Mrs. Neetika Bansal, Mr. Sandeep Agarwal, Dr. Girish Kumar etc. were present on the occasion.

AIMA- 6th National Leadership Conclave

The 6th National Leadership Conclave was virtually organized by the All India Management Association (AIMA). Students and Faculty of Hindustan Institute of Management and Computer Studies (HIMCS) joined this conclave as an academic partner. The aforesaid conclave held on 20th and 21st of April, 2021 on the topic “The Big Disruption: Leadership in the Post-Covid World”.

HIMCS organized a quiz competition for students based on the content of this conclave with an award “Most Avid Learner Award”.

The main attraction of conclave was the Honorable Minister of External Affairs of the Government of India, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar. He answered the questions and doubts of different participants including students regarding the different measured taken by the Gov. of India while dealing with COVID-19. When one of the participants asked him that “When there is a shortage of Corona- Vaccine in India then Why we are exporting Vaccine?”, he replied that since India is importing raw materials for Corona-Vaccine from other countries so we have to provide them the final product also. Similarly, he commented on the India-China relationship and said “We must have a return to peace and tranquility on the China border”. “Last year, that changed. Without provocation, China brought enormous force to the border. You can’t disrupt peace and tranquility at the border and carry on with the rest of the relationship… If this relationship is to progress, I must have a return to peace and tranquility on the border”. He extended his best wishes to AIMA for organizing the convention on this subject. The conclave was led and co-chaired by Mr. Sanjiv Goenka, Chairman, RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, and Mr. Sunil Kant Munjal, Chairman, Hero Enterprise.

Various eminent speakers of the country participated in this conclave. Mr. N Chandrasekaran– (Chairman, Tata Sons), Mr. Harsh Pati Singhania (Chairman & MD, JK Paper), Mr. Ajay Bijli (Chairman & MD, PVR Ltd.), Mr. Alok S Kirloskar (MD, SPP Pumps Ltd.), Mr. C K Ranganathan (Chairman & MD, CavinKare Pvt. Ltd.), Mr. Krishna Ella (Chairman & MD, Bharat Biotech International Ltd.), Mr. Shashi Tharoor (Member of Indian Parliament), Mr. ShicSarin (Director, Institute of Liver and Biliary Science) are some of the prominent names among them.

The Director of the HIMCS, Dr.  Naveen Gupta thanked all the members involved in the conclave and appreciated own students for asking such relevant questions to different speakers.  He said that learning by experience is the most valuable leaning and our institute is committed to having such kind of conclave in future also, so that our students can gain knowledge from the experiences of other leaders of the national and international market.

The conclave in digital mode was able to reach out to a larger audience and as expected over 3000 participants from across India and the world comprising policymakers, CEOs, thought leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, senior-level managers, and management students joined the Conclave.

Sharda Virtual Marathon organizes by Anand Campus

As part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav a Fit India Freedom Run SHARDA VIRTUAL MARATHON – 2021 was organised by Anand Engineering College, Agra on August 13 & 14, 2021. Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsava is celebrated all across the country and Anand Engineering College too joins the celebration through the SHARDA VIRTUAL MARATHON – 2021. The Marathon was categorised into three levels – 2Km, 5 Km and 10 Km.

Dr. Shailendra Singh, Director of the College flag off the Virtual Marathon. The Event was coordinated by Dr. Rampal Singh and Er. Prakash Kumar.
