Talent Hunt-2020 – HIMCS
Feb 17 all-day

The first-year students of Hindustan Institute of Management and Computer Studies, Farah, Mathura (HIMCS) walked into their first year of MBA and MCA program. In an effort to make the fresher’s feel welcomed as a part of the HIMCS family, the Talent Hunt programme was organized by the seniors. Seniors shared their experiences with the new batch of students as they spoke about what awaits the new students in the academic year ahead. Here at HIMCS, Talent Hunt Competition is a platform for MBA and MCA newcomers to showcase their hidden talents. A talent hunt is an event in which participants perform the arts of singing, dancing, lip-syncing, acting, playing an instrument, poetry, comedy or other activities to showcase skills.

A slew of performances were held for the new batch of students. These included performances in dance, music, stand-up comedy and oratory. A funny skit and a management quiz were also on the cards. Thus talent hunt is much awaited affair for seniors as well as juniors. This ceremony began with a candle light welcome for juniors where Director of the institute, Dr. Naveen Gupta lightened the lamp. The ceremony saw many dazzling performances by both seniors and juniors alike from energetic dance numbers that made evening even more charming. Students performed on various songs like kab tak chup baithe, kamli kamli, ore piya, zulie zulie, Oh beta Ji etc. Ramp walk rounds were there, where juniors suppressed their feelings and introduced themselves. They answered the Judge’s questions.

Dr. Naveen Gupta openly praised the immense potential of management and computer studies students. He said that today there is a need to express your words vigorously in front of others where communication becomes very important. He said that I have seen many such students who appear to be very influential externally but as soon as they are asked to express their views on a subject, the reality comes out. Therefore, today there is a need to create our own image. We need to strengthen our network so that the students of the new batch can learn from their experiences and could take inspiration from their seniors.

The final results are as follows:

Best Orator- Mugdha Singh

Best Innovator- Kajal Srivastava

Best Intellect- Saurabh Upadhyay

Best Personality- Srishti Chauhan (MBA) and Gaurav Saini (MCA)

Best Performer- Neha Verma and Manav Arora

The Departmental Head-MBA, Dr. Abhilasha Singh, Dr. Riju A. Singh, MCA-Head Shri N. K. Mishra and all the teachers and staff of the institute were present in APJ Kalam Auditorium today. All the people present in the auditorium cheered after seeing the presentation of the first-year aspiring students of the institute. At the same time, the theatrical performances of the final year students were highly appreciated. He captivated everyone with their unique skit. The students performed the melody by the guitar. The amazing talent of the students was enhanced through group dance, group anthem and recitation of poetry together. With the ramp-walk performed by the students was revealing the confidence contained in them, which is essential to strengthen their personality.

Dr. Sheetal Sachdeva, Dr. Gunjan Bhatnagar and Mr. Vivek Pandey were handled the responsibility on behalf of the faculty. From MBA second year Aishwarya Bulani, Rashmi Yadav, Utkarsh Jain, Akshay Pundir, Suraj Chandola, Rishita Jain, Prateek Chawla, Sonali Sonkar, Adarsh Chaudhary were the coordinators for this event and from MCA second year, Prashant Rajawat and Ila Varasi handled this responsibility.
