One week induction program was to be conducted on 03 December 2020 for first year newcomers in Hindustan College of Science and Technology, the prestigious institute of the Group of Educational Institutions. The Induction Program has been conducted every year in all technical institutes from the year 2018 as per the instructions of AICTE. Due to Covid 19 first time induction program, is being conducted through online medium. The knowledge of society and relationship is also necessary for the students of engineering with technical knowledge.
The Knowledge of human values is also very important to the students. The program was started with lamp lighting in front of Maa Saraswati by the director of the institute, Dr. Rajiv Kumar Upadhyay and Shri Mukundlal recited Saraswati Vandana.
On the first day of the induction program, the first year coordinator, Dr. Suruchi told about the details of one week program and said that registration of students will be done on the first day and all students will be divided into groups. Students’ feedback will be taken at the end of the program.
Physical activity of students will also be taken care of in this program. Yoga practice will be done through online mode to students at 7 am every day,Students are being trained by yoga Guru Sukhdev Singh of Singapore.
Executive Vice President, Sharda Group Prof. VK Sharma, said that Sharda Group was established in 1996 and since then has been continuously making progress in the field of education. Now the group’s institutions are spread from Agra – Mathura – Greater Noida to Uzbekistan. He also discussed the achievements of the students of the group.
The director of the institute, Dr. Rajiv Kumar Upadhyay, mentioned that different clubs are available in the institute. Students can join the club of their interest like sports, NCC, cultural programs, education etc.
Referring to the placement of the institute, he said that many students of the institute are employed in well-known companies like Google, IBM. Microsoft, Infosys, TCS. He said that 75 percent attendance will be mandatory for the students to appear in the university examination. Since March 2020, it was not possible for the students to come to college, due to the pandemic the students can not come to the college so, the institute has started conducting online classes through Zoom.
Every year many students of the institute got good positions in the GATE examinations which is essential to work in various PSUs in India. He said that the students will have to work hard in these four years to get campus placement.
He told that when a new student comes to the institute, he comes with diverse ideas, different backgrounds and new preparation. This induction program will help the students to adjust in the new environment.
Head of the Department of Humanities, Dr. Mamta Sharma explained the human values to the students. She said that students should take care of human values along with studies.

Anand Engineering College Agra organized a 7 days Induction Program for its newly admitted students for the session 2020-21. On December 10, 2020 the Valedictory function of Induction Program was organised in C V Raman Hall . The program was started with lighting the lamp before Ma Saraswati, the Goddess of Knowledge. An online program was celebrated on National Mathematics Day at Hindustan College by the Department of Mathematics on the 133rd birthday of the great mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan. In which the great mathematician Mr. Ramanujan was remembered for his unprecedented and international contribution in the field of mathematics. The Chief Guest of the program was Dr.Saurabh Srivastava, the Associate Professor of Mathematics Department of Jaypee University, Solan and as Distinguished Guest Dr. Girraj Verma, Amity University, Gwalior
The program was started by Dr. Rajiv Kumar Upadhyay, Director of the institute, Dr. Harendra Singh, Head of the Department of Mathematics and Dean R&D Prof. M.S Gaur garlanded the portrait of Shri Ramanujam.
On this occasion, a powerpoint presentation competition was organized by the Department of Mathematics with the theme “Importance of mathematics in engineering and real life” and “A magical way to live and learn mathematics”in that Deepak Kumar, a student of mechanical engineering secured first position the student of Electronics and Communication Shubhangi Shakya got second position and Shikhar Singh student of the Department of Computer Science Engineering secured third position.
Head of Department of Mathematics Department Dr. Harendra Singh Chauhan told the life of Shri Ramanujan that he was born on 22 December 1887 in Erode, a village in Coimbatore. His father was Srinivasa Iyengar Taya and the name of his mother was Mrs. Komalathammal.
His life was spent in extreme poverty and trouble, but despite this Ramanujan gave many mathematical formulas and methods in his life. Over the years, many researches were done and research papers were published in many international journals. He told that in Ramanujan ji’s dream also the mathematical equations of motion came down as divine blessings like a divine boon. He gave 3900 mathematical theorems at the age of 32. He also told about the magical number 1729 which is called Hardy Ramanujan number.
Director of the institute, Dr. Rajiv Kumar Upadhyay said that our life is fundamental to mathematics. You can also learn mathematics from the environment. He advised the students to pay more attention to the subject of mathematics. Recalling the great mathematician, he said that Shri Ramanujan was very good in mathematics as a child but he never felt good in traditional education. At the age of only ten years, he had secured the highest marks in the district. Ramanujan always had a habit of questioning; he used to ask questions in class. He had studied college level mathematics at school time but due to interest in mathematics, he failed in all subjects except mathematics in class XI. Later he collaborated with Professor Hardy of England and published high-quality research papers. Ramanujan wrote a high-level paper on mock theta function that is used not only in mathematics but also in medical science to understand cancer.
The program was Coordinated by Dr. M.P Singh and conducted by Dr. Mukti Pandey, Assistant Professor of the Department, making the mathematics aware of all the facts. At the end of the program, the Dr Salim Ahmed proposed a vote of thanks.

The students of Anand Engineering College organized a Freshers’ Party “EUPHORIA 2020” on Dec 29, 2020 to welcome the Batch of 2020. The purpose of the Freshers Party was to make every new student feel connected as an integral part of the ANAND family and be ready to take on the challenges of the year ahead. Jovial smiles and high spirits marked the welcome party for the new students. The party was organized at Sir C V Raman Auditorium. It manifested youth and enthusiasm at its best.
As a trend of the Institute, the party began with the auspicious lamp lighting ceremony and prayers to Goddess Saraswati. Dr. Shailendra Singh, Director inaugurated the Event by welcoming the students through his motivational speech. Mr. Dharam Singh, Registrar welcome all new students and said that fresher’s party is all about creating everlasting relationships with each other. Pulsating ambience, flashing lights and foot-tapping music, set the mood of the party right. The excitement augmented to a joyful high as performances graced the stage. The mercury began to rise, the dance floor was left open for some unbridled energy. Joy and happiness could be seen among students of each and every course at the college.
Vishvendra Singh from CS and Nalini Gupta from MBA I year were declared the Mr. Fresher and Miss Fresher of the Fresher Party. Harsh Mishra, MBA first year and Jahnvi Israni from Biotech First year were declared the winners of Title of Mr and Miss Popular respectively.
Hindustan Institute of Management and Computer Studies (HIMCS) have organized orientation program-phase II for their newly admitted MBA and MCA students. It was organized at various stages for the new batch students who are enrolled in these courses. The first phase of this program has already been completed in the month of December 2020, today the second phase was started from 4 January 2021. The program was inaugurated with Saraswati Vandana and dance, lighting the lamp.
On this occasion by Dr. Naveen Gupta Sir (Director-HIMCS) guided the students on the challenges related to mental health problems. He explained that “In this era of competition, we have started paying more attention to the negative aspect of it due to problems in life, negativity, depression etc.” If we work for our own development, then we will be inspired by others rather that we will be jealous of them. So there should be healthy competition. In addition, he said that we should take care of our health, family, society and nature. He also explained in detail the neurotic and psychotic disorder keeping in mind the mental health. Mr. V. K. Sharma Sir (EVP- SGI) addressed the students as well. He praised HIMCS and said that it is not an institute but it is a movement. This is a movement where our students with professional education learn the responsibilities of building their characters are also fulfilled. After its establishment, it has raised a mountain of achievements till date. It is the only institute in Agra – Mathura region which is NAAC Accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council for M.B.A. and M.C.A courses. I wish all my students a bright future. He also defined 16 points of success in detail.
On this occasion, the collective list of placements for the last 23 years was shared by Dr Priya Pandey (Head- T&P ) and Mr Shobhit Kant Sharma informed that our institution has given managers and IT professionals in various different fields for the past years. The placement department of Sharda Group invites reputed companies and ensures their placements.
Mr Naresh Dhingra (Head-PDP) and his team guided the students and told them what improvements are needed within the next 2 years to raise their personalities and how the PDP classes would be beneficial for them. He discussed the role of communication in overall personality development.
At the end, the final year students of MBA and MCA have organized cultural programmes for their juniors for developing cordial relationships with them. Newly admitted students showed their hidden talent in open theatre which was highly commendable.
National Youth Day was celebrated with great pomp at Anand College of Education, Keetham Agra. The program was inaugurated by Dr. PK Singh by lighting a lamp in front of Maa Saraswati and laying a wreath on the portrait of Swami Vivekananda. Thinker, philosopher, young monk, sharp speaker and ideal personality. Swami ji, who has revived the Indian cultural consciousness, awakened self-esteem in the Indian youth and created a new ray of hope. All of us should take inspiration from the life and thoughts of Swami ji, the pioneer of Indian Renaissance.
He emphasized on education to earn a living. He said that education should be such that it will provide employment to the child. Blessed is our India land, where such a great man was born, we need to follow the literature of Swamiji only then the students will be given a new direction. He encouraged the first year students for good academic results. He said that 3 students of Hindustan College had Gold, Silver and Bronze medals based on AKTU’s merit list -2020 He said that the students of the institute are excellent not only in academics but also in sports and other disciplines. He motivated the students to keep creative ideas and be serious for study. He also thanked all the people directly and indirectly connected to the program for making the program successful.
Executive Vice President, Sharda Group Prof. V. K Sharma welcomed all the newcomers and motivated them to increase their academic performance. He encouraged the students to work in every field for the all round development of their personality.
Dr Rajesh Kaharwar, NCC officer, Lieutenant, Hindustan College, said that the NCC was started in 2012 with 50 seats in the institute and our NCC cadets were at state level, national level with many security forces such as paramilitary forces, Indian Army, state police forces and also employed in a specific security force. On this occasion NCC cadets were awarded certificates for their outstanding performance.

Sharda Group Executive Vice President Prof. VK Sharma said that today the whole world is celebrating women’s Day but even today the women of the country are insecure, there has not been a reduction in the crimes against them, even many crimes are not recorded. Distinguished Guest Miss Dr. Rajwika Chaubey inspired all women to pay attention to their health first. He said that women should take care of themselves first and then the family. Referring to Sunita Williams and Kalpana Chawla, she said that today women are making their own flag in each area. This day commemorates the economic, political and social achievements of women. She presented a poem on the occasion of Women’s Day.
